Sault New England is seeking a Store Manager to lead our Provincetown location. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy retail environment and enjoys creating a welcoming, memorable experience for customers visiting Provincetown from near and far.
Our Provincetown shop is a unique blend of menswear, lifestyle goods, and thoughtful design; the Store Manager plays a key role in bringing that vision to life each day.
Position Overview
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Provincetown store during the busy seasonal period. This includes leading the sales floor, managing a small team, maintaining strong visual standards, and ensuring every customer receives an exceptional experience.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, personable, and energized by a lively retail environment. During peak season the store can be extremely busy, so the ability to stay composed, positive, and proactive is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience
- Lead by example in delivering warm, knowledgeable, and attentive customer service
- Create a welcoming store atmosphere that reflects Sault’s brand and Provincetown’s vibrant energy
- Build relationships with returning customers and seasonal visitors
Sales Floor Leadership
- Manage daily store operations and ensure smooth floor coverage
- Motivate and guide the team during busy periods
- Maintain a strong presence on the sales floor and assist customers directly
Visual Merchandising
- Maintain Sault’s clean, curated visual standards
- Refresh displays and product placement throughout the season
- Ensure the shop remains organized, stocked, and inviting
Operations
- Oversee opening and closing procedures
- Manage inventory flow and product restocking
- Ensure store systems, cash handling, and daily reporting are handled accurately
Qualifications
- Previous retail management or leadership experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stay organized and composed in a busy environment
- Self-motivated with a hands-on, team-first attitude
- Appreciation for design, clothing, and lifestyle retail
